An intimate glimpse into the creative journey

In this brief documentary, viewers are offered an intimate glimpse into the creative journey of choreographer and director Dunja Jocic, alongside the talented dancer Kalin Morrow, as they unveil the behind-the-scenes process of crafting The Previous Owner.

Dunja
The focus of this piece is transhumanism, a topic that intrigued me greatly because my earlier interests were closely tied to the concept of time and our perception of it, particularly in relation to mortality. Many of my previous works explored themes related to aging, mortality, and our perception of time. Transhumanism, in a way, represents a natural progression of my ongoing research. It revolves around the idea of wanting to pause, elongate, or even potentially transcend the limitations of time itself, essentially seeking a form of eternal existence.”

The character is initially lost, she’s coming to terms with the fact that someone else is residing in her body and there are some remnants that she’s not understanding, memories that are getting presented to her that don’t come from her.

Kalin
I got very very attached to both characters in a way because they’re both in my character“.
